L'Hydroptère.CH - 2010
Construction of a laboratory foiling catamaran.
L'Hydroptère.ch is a hybrid technological platform designed to improve our empirical knowledge, modernize the world of sailing and demonstrate the innovative concept of flying boats.
L'Hydroptère.ch has been designed as a floating/flying laboratory to collect as much information as possible on the differences between the Archimedean and hydro foiling modes of sailing. True to its mission to improve our knowledge of hydrofoils, it has already paved the way for significant progress in this field, allowing engineers to test foil adjustments in various real-life conditions and analyse performance with a view to designing a more environmentally friendly boat of the future.
We built the floats, the central structural "hull" and assembled the platform.
