Construction of Alain Thébault's Hydroptère floats.
In 2009 this foiling trimaran broke the following records:
- Absolute speed record over a distance of 500 meter at 51.36 knots (this record has fallen to the australian Paul Larson and his Vestas Sailrocket with the extrordinary speed of 65.45 knots).
- Absolute speed record over a distance of 1 nautical mile (1852 meters) at 50.17 knots (this record is now also held by Paul Larson and his Vestas Sailrocket with a speed of 55.32 knots).
